We use the following deployment product suite for modernization;
Lookserver:
Lookserver is a server based product that supports the standard looksoftware repository format used by the development products newlook and centric development tools allowing users to be used by lookserver. Lookserver can communicate with the eServer host using TN5250 and TN3270. It also can maintain the persistent session with the browser session.
Thinclient:
Thinclient supports any internet-connect device that supports HTML like different browsers that supports HTML; such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozila, Firefox and Safari. Thinclient also supports mobile devices like PDAs.
Mobileclient:
Mobile clients will be HTML based browsers that run on PDA type devices such as Mobile and Windows CE. Mobile clients are used by the users who use wireless devices such as PDAs and phones.
Smartclient:
Smartclient support provides the high performance, functionality and host support suited for medium-to-heavy usage of host applications.
We use Newlook, Centric and SOA architect development tools to support the above deployment tools.
